The Serengeti is the safari that inspired the word. Endless golden plains roll to the horizon, broken only by the odd flat-topped acacia and a kopje where a pride of lions has staked out the shade. This is the stage for the Great Migration, but the park delivers exceptional game viewing every month of the year — resident prides, cheetah on the short grass, and some of the densest predator populations on the continent.
- Front-row seat to the wildebeest and zebra migration
- Some of Africa's highest lion and cheetah densities
- Hot air balloon safaris over the plains at sunrise
- Seronera Valley — reliable year-round predator sightings
- Balanites and acacia-studded horizons for classic safari photography
By Air
Scheduled and charter flights connect Arusha and Kilimanjaro International Airport to several airstrips inside the park, including Seronera, Kogatende and Grumeti — most visitors fly in as part of a fly-in safari itinerary.
By Road
A 4×4 transfer from Arusha takes around 6-7 hours via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, often combined as a two-park itinerary with an overnight stop on the crater rim.
