Angama Mara

An exceptional luxury safari lodge perched on the edge of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment, overlooking the Mara Triangle. Angama Mara comprises two intimate camps, each with 15 spacious Tented Suites, all designed around extraordinary views of the Maasai Mara.

Angama Mara occupies what might be the single best view in the Mara ecosystem — a thousand feet up on the Great Rift Valley escarpment, looking directly down over the Mara Triangle’s open plains. The property runs as two intimate camps sharing one address, just fifteen rooms between them, each a glass-fronted Tented Suite designed so the view is visible from almost anywhere inside: bed, sitting area, even the shower.

It’s a property built for slowing down as much as for game drives — the term “rocking chair safari” gets used seriously here, describing an afternoon spent simply watching the plains change light from a private deck chair rather than chasing every sighting by vehicle. When guests do head out, the position above the Triangle means shorter drives to some of the Mara’s richest game country, and the return each evening is to a room that stays the main event in its own right.

Tented Suite

Spacious luxury Tented Suites of more than 100 square metres, featuring floor-to-ceiling glass frontage, a super-king extra-length bed, elegant sitting area, double vanity, large soaking bathtub, indoor/outdoor terrazzo shower and a private deck. Each suite is designed to maximise uninterrupted views of the Mara below and includes space for in-tent dining, massages and Angama's signature rocking-chair safaris.

Family Suite

Two Tented Suites connected by a secure inter-leading passageway, providing families with additional space and privacy while allowing easy movement between the suites. Each family setup can accommodate up to two adults and four children.
